As part of The Children's Music Network's New England Conference, Liz invites teachers, parents and others who work with young children to learn and share songs about stories. We'll explore songs children can act out, songs about books and other fun musical ways to tell a story. The studios are housed in a picturesque red barn nestled in a field of wildflowers overlooking idyllic Shelburne Pond. Beneath the barn’s towering twin silos, its resident visual artists will be on-hand to share their creative vision in a surprising variety of disciplines: painting, collage, sculpture, jewelry, glass, environmental art, assemblage art, furniture refinishing. Visitors are invited to wander freely as participating artists share work-in-progress, answer visitor questions, and sell finished work. Visitors can also enjoy wandering or picnicking in the sculpture garden of this magnificent 12-acre property.

Ethan grew up in Vermont and some families may know him from his work with VT PBS artist Mr. Chris! Now Ethan hails from Maine, where he's joined up with Elsie of the Gawler fiddling family. Their new CDs are awesome and we can't wait to hear their terrific harmonies and stellar instrumentation on banjo, cello and guitar!

St. George celebrates its second annual Dragon Festival with music, food, a dragon parade and more. Gordon MacFarland and I will offer dragon-themed music for all ages, as well as many of our other favorite songs. This will be a free, fun neighborhood event that's open to anyone who loves dragons. For those who might not know, St. George is a small hamlet just south of Williston and east of Shelburne, on Route 2A.
